UNLAB has an extended experience in the field of research, urban planning and public space design, developing a wide knowledge on architecture as well as large-scale projects. The office collaborates with an extensive network of researchers, practitioners and observers from different disciplines. It is a testing laboratory devoted to architecture and urbanism. UNLAB projects have been published in various webzines, magazines and exhibited both in the Netherlands and abroad.
In 2014, UNLAB has been awarded by UNHabitat and UIA (International Union of Architects) with the First Prize (NL) for the Mass/Public/Social Housing International Competition, presented and exhibited at the 7th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF7, April 5-11 / 2014) in Medellín (Colombia). Moreover, the office has promoted and developed research-projects within the European cultural programs framework, together with universities, public and private institutions in Europe and abroad.
